The Rapu-Rapu Polymetallic Project (RRPP), operated by Rapu-Rapu Minerals Inc. and Rapu-Rapu Processing Inc., is the first productive mine under the new Philippine Mining Act. Its mining and processing operations in the island-municipality of Rapu-Rapu, Albay reflect the countrys modern-day mineral prospectivity, its potential for attracting new investments, and the challenges involved.

In October 2008, Asian shareholders LG International Corp., Korea Resources Corp. and Malaysia Smelting Corp. revitalized the Projects copper, zinc, gold and silver production, driven by a vision of commitment to responsible mining for sustainable development, respect for all stakeholders, and partnerships for socio-economic progress.
